As part of your application, you’ll be asked to book in a 45-minute discovery call with our founder, Sophie. She’ll consider your intake form, alongside the information provided during this call, to determine if you’re a good fit for our program.

Coaching with Prospology is like nothing else out there. We bring vast industry knowledge and expertise to all our trainings, which are highly practical and filled with real-life stories and client scenarios. But it’s our Community that makes us really special. Being able to relate to how so many others have built their writing businesses before, who came from a similar background to you, is priceless. Our graduates walk away feeling confident, empowered, and completely transformed—an amalgamation of months of collaborative and consistent effort from all involved. All of our students are freelancers or entrepreneurs looking to start or grow their own medical writing businesses. Our programs are not for you if you’re looking to snag a full-time medical writing position. However, if you already work full-time as a medical writer and want to transition into freelancing, we can certainly help you. Make sure you book a discovery call so we can assess whether you have what it takes to succeed.

Many of our courses include practical assignments, such as optimizing your LinkedIn profile, producing a branded writing sample for your portfolio, and building a professional website, and you’ll get detailed feedback from industry experts on everything you submit. In fact, we won’t let you progress to the next stage in your program until your work meets our standards!

Of course, you’ll also get personalized feedback in live coaching sessions, where you’ll dive into particular areas of difficulty in more detail, as needed.

The 'Thriving & Free' Medical Writer Program requires a minimum commitment of 1–2 months, depending on what you already have under your belt. Most students require 3–6 months of coaching support. Though, individual needs do vary, and you're never under any obligation to extend if you don't want to.

We also have a Grads Group, whereby graduates can remain part of the Prospologers Community to continue growing their network for an additional 6 months, as they round out their client base and feel ready to go rogue. Visit our 'Grads Group' page for details.

85% of our students get a client or paid project opportunity during the program, with 51% of these getting three or more opportunities before graduating. 100% of those who choose to continue operating and growing their business after the program get three or more clients within a year of graduating. Of course, these are all averages and results may vary. Many of our students are fully booked before they graduate, or shortly after they complete the program. The more you take advantage of all we have to offer and implement what you learn, the better the results you'll see!

Whatever you'd like! We can make recommendations and discuss your preferences during your discovery call. But you'll be able to create your own custom timeline that fits in perfectly with prior commitments, ongoing responsibilities, and how ambitious your business and lifestyle goals are.

If accepted into our ‘Thriving & Free’ Medical Writer Program, you’ll get access to our full library of medical writing resources—from insightful interviews with industry experts to webinar tutorials and practical PDF guides—as part of a custom-built curriculum. Prospology operates remotely, so you can complete The 'Thriving & Free' Medical Writer Program from anywhere in the world, as long as you have a stable internet connection and webcam. As your writing business grows, we encourage you to travel and fully experience the freedom and flexibility that freelancing has to offer! Until then, our program can fit into any schedule, since all trainings and assignments are self-paced. Your Student Portal will even take into account your current time-zone to make scheduling 1:1s super easy.

We have very high expectations for Prospologers, so that their investment is worthwhile and we can maintain our outstanding reputation in the field. In fact, 75% of all applicants get rejected before they reach the discovery call stage (we don't want to waste anyone's time or money!).

We gravitate towards applicants with a strong entrepreneurial nature (even if unrefined), a passion for medical communications, a good work ethic, and foundational written English skills. We also assess "coach-ability" and alignment with our core values.
