Frequently Asked Questions

Are all of the conference speakers on the Prospology Team?

Yes! Our conference has been designed to give attendees a taste of what it’s like to be a part of the Prospologers Community. In other words: if this is what we can do for you in a day, imagine what we can do in 3-6 months! Every member of the Prospology Team has been hand selected for a specific area of expertise that collectively contributes to the quality of The ‘Thriving & Free’ Medical Writer Program and helps us maintain exceptionally high standards for our trainings and events. We’re honoured and excited to be able to extend our expertise out to those who are unable to be part of our business coaching program, due to personal or financial reasons, so that everyone can get a bump up in the field.

Can I switch between tracks/sessions once I’ve chosen them?

Yes! While we encourage all attendees to choose in advance which sessions they’d like to attend, so they don’t miss anything juicy, you’re more than welcome to jump to and from different sessions if you’re not sure which would be most valuable to you on the day. Just be aware that there may be a slight delay if our facilitator doesn’t see you in the waiting room right away, before you’re let into the meeting. To ensure you don’t miss anything important, or lose the gist of what the session will be about, we recommend showing up 5 minutes early. Also, be sure to keep yourself on mute, especially if you’re entering a live session that has already begun, so as not to disturb the other attendees.

Which platform will be used for the conference, and how do I access it?

Don’t worry—there is no particular software that you have to download or set up in order to attend the event. Just make sure you have good wifi and, ideally, a webcam to ensure you can fully participate in all aspects of the conference. Registrants will receive details on how to access the virtual conference the day before it takes place, so keep an eye out in your email inbox for that (including your ‘Junk’ folder, just in case!). Note: If you show up to the conference with a screen name that is different to the one you used to register for the conference, one of our event facilitators will reach out to you to seek clarification on who you registered as and why there’s a discrepancy there.

Will the sessions at the conference be recorded?

No. To encourage live participation and ensure attendees feel comfortable asking vulnerable questions or opening up about their personal struggles in their medical writing career, none of the conference sessions will be recorded. Participants are prohibited from recording sessions in any capacity, as all material presented will be protected under copyright laws. If anyone is found to be recording, repurposing, copying, or distributing proprietary conference material, please be advised that we are well within our rights to take legal action to protect our company’s assets.

What is your policy for ensuring this event will be safe and inclusive?

Harassment, discrimination, and abuse of any kind will not be tolerated at this event. This includes any form of interaction with session facilitators, presenters, and other virtual attendees, whether audio, visual, or in writing. If anyone is found to violate our code of conduct, they will be politely and immediately asked to leave the conference, or forcibly removed if they do not cooperate as such. If you feel that someone at the event is acting disrespectfully or inappropriately at any time, let your event facilitator know right away, via direct message in the chat, and they will be happy to assist.

I am eligible for a discounted conference registration. How do I apply this?

*For Early Bird pricing, use coupon ‘EARLYBIRD24’ at the checkout (expires March 31).

*If you’re a full-time student at a University, use coupon ‘STUD3NT99’. You must provide proof of current enrolment after purchase to fully register. No refunds will be offered for unvalidated purchases.

*If you’re a current or former Prospology student (full coaching program only), or a current member of the Prospology Team, use coupon code ‘PROSP2024’ at the checkout. Everyone will be vetted before their registration is formalized.

*No refunds will be offered to registrants who are unable to attend the event after purchasing a ticket.

*Conference registration money cannot be put towards payment for The ‘Thriving & Free’ Medical Writer Program at a later date, or any other product or service that Prospology offers.

What should I do if I experience technical difficulties during the event?

We will do our best to support those who are unable to access the conference due to technical issues. However, we cannot be fully responsible for each individual registrant, and may not be able to give someone our full attention when the event is taking place if technical support is required. If you’re having trouble getting into an event after successful registration, try emailing dustin@prospology.com for support. If you often have technical issues when hosting or attending video conferencing calls, it might be a good idea to have someone on hand (in person, on your end) to help you troubleshoot in case you need to.

I won’t be able to attend the entire conference. Can I get a discount?

No. We are offering a very reasonable, fixed price for every registrant, as we cannot account for every single possible time-zone in an 8-hour period. Please make sure you are comfortable with the total investment before registering for the conference, as live attendance will be required. That being said, you’re more than welcome to attend as much or as little of the conference as you’d like once you have registered for the event. We are excited to welcome you into our Community for the day, and encourage you to fully participate and engage with the sessions, speakers, and attendees wherever possible.

Will conference attendees be offered a discount if they enrol in Prospology’s coaching program?

As a rule and strongly upheld principle, we never offer discounts for The ‘Thriving & Free’ Medical Writer Program. This allows us to maintain incredibly high standards and provide a fully personalized experience for Prospology students. It also ensures everyone receives fair and equal treatment. Please note that not everyone who applies for our business coaching program gets accepted, i.e. application does not guarantee acceptance. At times, we offer applicants the chance to be added to our wait list, when we do not yet have the capacity to enrol and onboard new students. If you have a specific timeline in mind of when you’d like to go through the program, we strongly encourage you to apply in advance so that we’re more likely to be able to accommodate your specific needs and/or preferences.

How can I provide feedback about the conference, afterwards?

We’d love to hear what you think of our event! We’ve been hosting informational and training events for several years now, including our elective course at University of Missouri Kansas City, but this is our first time hosting our own virtual conference. So if there’s anything we can do better next time, or you’d like to share a positive experience with the Prospology Team (a valuable connection you made, a breakthrough moment, or a compliment to one of our speakers), you can do so by emailing us at a time that’s convenient for you: sophie@prospology.com.
